First of its kind, innovation and performance meet the future of distillation. The Ultra Short Path Distillation Head (previously SPD-7) is a fascinating technology inspired by an ultra low temperature process. The Summit research SPD-7 is a horizontal head designed to fully refine products at a low temperature; preferred material required should be refined previously, or physically refined through all filtration and washing/chroma processes prior to running through this system. Material must be completely dried and full vacuum cannot be engaged if material is wet. Do not attempt to load green/black crude material. This system requires much more vacuum requirement so please keep in mind the 22 liter system takes a diffusion, and the 5 liter system can use dual e2m28/30. With a high flow triple condenser coil to GL18 adapters, the temps are dialed in throughout this horizontal head. Big bore 55/50 inlet and outlet with a traditional 29/42 discharge to flask. Short Path Distillation Head HB2 100 comes equipped with 34/45 key port, 34/45 discharge port and a 100mm bore that secures to a boiling flask with o-ring and clamp. The Short Path Distillation Head HB2 100, or previously SPD-4 MPD (modified path distillation), was created for one of our testers Breaking Dabs aka Heisenberg. With his unique skills he has helped us tune the HB series heads to evolve and provide solutions for our users. HB2 is designed to be ultra high speed with precision refinement. This head was bench marked by Heisenberg on a dual e2m30 array achieving 6 liters per hour without any effort at all. This head can be setup for very low temperatures, high clarity, and high speeds. Requirement to use these heads would be a sogevac + dual e2m30 -OR- sogevac + e80 -OR- sogevac + e80 + diffusion array. This particular setup benefits from a custom diffusion array and an Apollo Vacuum Controller with the inert gas sweeping feature. The Short Path Distillation Head HB1 100, or previously SPD-4 MPD (modified path distillation), was created for one of our testers Breaking Dabs aka Heisenberg. With his unique skills he has helped us tune the HB series heads to evolve and provide solutions for our users. HB1 is designed to be ultra selective to evacuate all previous fractions before the main body without letting the main body through. With some temp, main body can come out extremely fast and this head can be used as a first pass head. It is very effective in removing heads fractions while retaining main body components. Which fractions can the Fraction Finder detect? During short-path distillation, it can distinguish what is colloquially known as “Heads”, “Main Bodies”, and “Tails”. Click here for a list of molecules, such as Delta-9 and more. What units of measure does the Fraction Finder digital readout use? The system uses Nanometers (nm) and Intensity (au). Can the Fraction Finder sensor fit on size 24 glass? If you have size 24 glass, order our 24/40 adapter, which can fit a size 29 sensor. What heat can the Fraction Finder sensor handle? The Fraction Finder sensor can handle around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If you plan to exceed these limits, order one of our Hot Tech Adapters. Does the Fraction Finder work the same as an HPLC? Both systems use spectroscopic analysis to identify chemicals. However, the type of spectroscopy that detection method and wavelength regime are different. The Fraction Finder operates uses fluorescence, whereas HPLCs utilize absorption. -

The Hochstrom High Flow Filter is the fastest unit on the market. It’s unique design allows it to operate under half vacuum pressure for full flow. Our peers & customers have reported the high flow surface area to be equivalent to a 18-24″ table-top unit. These units have a huge basin, but small holes, really preventing it from being efficient for it’s size.
