Reflux condensers are used in “conversion” processes to cool the vapor molecules emitted from heated oils to change their gaseous state back into liquid by means of a chilled dual coil. This unit is recommended for 12L and smaller boiling flasks. How it works: The condenser is attached to the boiling flask joint and is secured in a vertical position. Chiller fluid is circulated through the coil to cause the vapors to condense as they rise up through the condenser coils thus preventing them from escaping. This gives you the option to reflux different fluids in your boiling flask for extended periods of time before you run the SPD, this is a must have in the lab for conversions. Which fractions can the Fraction Finder detect? During short-path distillation, it can distinguish what is colloquially known as “Heads”, “Main Bodies”, and “Tails”. The drain has a PTFE stopcock to GL18. All GLs are included. Chroma Cap has elongated recessed port with diffuser. There are two recommended options with varying pumps, diffusion and total liters:
- SPD-6 FC55 Optional Diffusion Mixed setup using 5/12/22 liter boiling flasks.

Chromatography Column 3x24 (inches) with coarse/fine mixed frit. Heavy wall thickness of 3mm. Comes with Rodaviss connection and 45/50 Chroma Cap (GL14 feed/vacuum port). The drain has a PTFE stopcock to GL18. All GLs are included. Chroma Cap has elongated recessed port with diffuser. This directs fluid spray against walls to gently fill the column and protect media from movement. All of our chromatography columns now have option to add an Ultra Sensitive Fraction Finder! To comply with warranty, Summit requires this chromatography column to be supported by a chain clamp and a top mounted cork clamp. Summit recommends applying a thin rubber strip (the length of the chains contact) under the chain clamp (not shown) to maximize grip. The KF25 Bellow is a corrugated stainless steel pipe that connects to corresponding kf25 flanges. These malleable pipes allow for some error as apposed to hooking up a solid straight pipe. Available in 10, 20 and 40 inch lengths. Don't forget other KF25 fittings and accessories: 100% stainless steel. 100% USA made. Bellow warning: Stretch and bend your bellow into position before installation. Laminar Path Monocow 34 is a traditional short path distillation distribution adapter. Added condenser coil allows you to dial in the temps. 34/45 all the way through with 29 to flask and 24 to vacuum port.
