The Head Key Well 45/50 measures 11.25 inch in overall length. 6.5 inch length from bottom of the frosted taper with 5 bands (portion of key that enters your head).
A key well (or thermo well) is a specialized glass insert (hollow plug) used in short path distillation heads to hold a thermometer or temperature probe. It seats into the primary joint at the top of the distillation head, sealing the system while placing the sensor exactly in the vapor path.
