The Short Path Distillation Head HB2 150, or previously MPD (modified path distillation), was created for one of our testers Breaking Dabs aka Heisenberg. This head was bench marked by Heisenberg on a dual e2m30 array achieving 6 liters per hour without any effort at all. This head can be setup for very low temperatures, high clarity, and high speeds. Requirement to use these heads would be a sogevac + dual e2m30 -OR- sogevac + e80 -OR- sogevac + e80 + diffusion array. This particular setup benefits from a custom diffusion array and an Apollo Vacuum Controller with the inert gas sweeping feature. It wraps around a distillation set up condenser tube and connects to the Fraction Finder display to track important data on the distillation. These sensors are black for a reason:- Black absorbs all light while blocking out ambient light.

This is a custom married part to the ultra short path distillation systems by Summit Research. A triple coil intermediate trap with 55/50 inlet and 34/45 outlet to cold trap. This trapping mechanism is used as a laminar path connection and can be ran hot or cold depending on your process. This flask has a horizontal port which fits exclusively to our USPD Micro Head. First of its kind, innovation and performance meet the future of distillation. The Ultra Short Path Distillation Micro Head (previously SPD-7.1) is a fascinating technology inspired by an ultra low temperature process. The Summit research SPD-7.1 is a horizontal head designed to fully refine products at a low temperature; preferred material required should be refined previously, or physically refined through all filtration and washing/chroma processes prior to running through this system. Material must be completely dried and full vacuum cannot be engaged if material is wet. Do not attempt to load green/black crude material. This system requires much more vacuum requirement so please keep in mind the 22 liter system takes a diffusion, and the 5 liter system can use dual e2m28/30. With a high flow dual condenser coil to GL18 adapters, the temps are dialed in throughout this horizontal head. Big bore 45/50 inlet and outlet with a traditional 29/42 discharge to flask. The Short Path Distillation Head FC34 (spd-2 fc34) has been upgraded with our new fraction collector technology. This head runs specifically for smaller setups (2L & 5L). Equipped with #34 bore, #29 discharge arm and #24 key port. All tapers are traditional. When Summit Research initially released the first fraction collector technology we knew it would be a hit.
