Hochstrom Filter ™
The Hochstrom High Flow Filter is the fastest unit on the market. It’s unique design allows it to operate under half vacuum pressure for full flow. Our peers & customers have reported the high flow surface area to be equivalent to a 18-24″ table-top unit. These units have a huge basin, but small holes, really preventing it from being efficient for it’s size. A table top or small buchner filtration unit will have flow issues due to the solution warming up and redissolving past the filtration medium. You also get the fluid rushing around the filter media as well as a large surface area for liquids to warm up. We have achieved maximum efficiency in a much shorter time for filtration. This prevents items from warming up and redissolving and/or not securing. The Hochstrom filter is the last filter you will ever need to buy. Summit Research, only the best. 2x Hochstrom + 1x PIG Filtration Package.20L Filter Bottle
The 20L Filter Bottle is another original Summit Research product, going above and beyond to deliver a modified and custom filtration bottle. We chose to use genuine Schott media bottles. Had our shop mount the bottle on a lathe and remove the bung section while replacing it with a rodaviss female end. Summit have the highest quality modular caps custom made with male rodaviss joints. These flawless HEAVY DUTY glass filtration bottles are one of kind and found only at Summit. Accept no imitations, comes with rodaviss wet-seal parts and GL14 connections.High Flow Paper for Hochstrom
Stage 1 - 1000pcs of 20u chemical duty papers. Stage 2 - 1000pcs of 8u chemical duty papers. Stage 3 - 500pcs of sub 1u chemical duty 100% borosilicate papers(no chemical binder grade AE). All papers made in USA with no questionable composition, and no import junk. Straight up, best high flow papers you’ll ever use.PIG Filter
This patented made in USA (pressurized inert gas) PIG Filtration System eats material. At an idle flow of 500 gallons per hour under winterization temperatures reported speeds exceeding 8 gallons per minute of filtration power. We are the Sole distributor of this product in our industry. Do not forget your PIG papers. Summit strives to bring new things to market and ensure the needs are met. https://youtu.be/_F65D3Skmj0 https://youtu.be/JWwV-icP4Dk Summit recommends all users of any and all glassware to operate inside a ventilated fume hood with sufficient blast shields to prevent injury in case of fatigued glass failure. Summit is not responsible or liable for the result of any failures from use, and/or loss of subsequent hardware contamination/failure with or without the result of material loss or damaged caused to surroundings. By purchasing our premiere lines of laboratory glassware the user is responsible to operate in the recommended environment safely. We recommend all users to operate in a legal and licensed facility where safety is the number 1 goal. 2x Hochstrom + 1x PIG Filtration Package -
The new SPD-8 Series Heads (FC55, 100mm, 150mm) bring a fraction collecting core combined with condenser coil. If you want absolute temperature control in a head, look no further. With these types of heads, if you dip the coil temp down it will act as a violent collection of molecules dragged to the coil like a magnet. That coil would inherently distribute those lower temps right on the surface of the fraction collector dish and that would display a whole new set of efficiency within the head. All Short Path Distillation 8 Heads have a 45/50 thermoport and a 34/45 discharge arm. Short Path Distillation 8 Head in use at the lab: Instagram Demo The condenser in this 150mm head absorbs as much heat as possible and removes BTU energy from the vapor prior to entering the condenser arm. This allows the vacuum jacketed head to operate like it’s supposed to. The coil in the head doesn’t disturb molecular flow dynamics as it’s duty is to absorb heat before the heat affects the sides of the walls of the fraction collector as well as allows those ambient vacuum void temps to be more stable. When you get blow by in a head it means it’s just working overtime because the arm sends back fluids to the heater chiller and it can’t maintain the BTU heat removal. So if you can maintain exact temps you can bounce unwanted fractions right out of the condenser arm without over shooting flow rates. This maintains a drier vacuum in the condenser arm. Included with this head: As always, Summit uses 100% best quality glass blanks that are THICKER and built BEYOND STANDARDS made right here in the USA. Our glassware is made specifically for efficiency and durability. Summit provides the quality of lab equipment that you deserve to streamline your short path distillation process. The Short Path Distillation Head Bertha 150, since development in 2018, has become one of the leading standards in distillation head types in the industry. 2023 has brought the Bertha 100 to its final perfect form with 6 generations of evolution. This head comes equipped with 45/50 thermoport, 34/45 discharge port and a 100mm bore that secures to a boiling flask with o-ring and clamp. The Short Path Distillation Head Bertha 150 (previously SPD-4 MPD Big Bertha) is an extremely high vapor fractionation column head. The first section starts in the flask to retain as much heat in the column as possible. This entire column and entry into flask is isolated from the outside air and the flange fittings. The first chamber is a rough fractionation chamber with a lower rejection section that prevents any condensate from moving upwards. The center section is a secondary refinement section and will further refine the vapors. The upper third section is our patented fraction collector. The first dual stage fractionation column to ever be invented or used in distillation glassware, pilot or small scale. Can achieve 4-6 liters per hour (8 liters per hour with upgraded chilling and vacuum accessories) first pass and ready for crystallization. Vigs are not needed for this technology due to the industry first "no-vig" approach which utilizes a baffled section that extends down below the head base and into the boiling flask. Requirement to use these heads would be a sogevac + dual e2m30 -or- sogevac + e80 -or- sogevac + e80 + diffusion array. This particular setup benefits from a custom diffusion array and an Apollo Vacuum Controller with the inert gas sweeping feature. Effectively increasing the stock speed and lowering the temperatures further. Included: Our MPD heads fit exclusively to Summit MPD boiling flasks: As always, Summit uses 100% best quality glass blanks that are THICKER and built BEYOND STANDARDS made right here in the USA. HB series heads are inspired by our patented fraction collector technology paired with a larger flanged bore. Short Path Distillation Head HB1 150 comes equipped with 34/45 discharge port and a 150mm bore that secures to a boiling flask with o-ring and clamp. The Short Path Distillation Head HB1 150, or previously MPD (modified path distillation), was created for one of our testers Breaking Dabs aka Heisenberg. With his unique skills he has helped us tune the HB series heads to evolve and provide solutions for our users. HB1 is designed to be ultra selective to evacuate all previous fractions before the main body without letting the main body through. With some temp, main body can come out extremely fast and this head can be used as a first pass head. It is very effective in removing heads fractions while retaining main body components. Vigs are not needed for this technology due to the industry first "no-vig" approach which utilizes a baffled section that extends down below the head base and into the boiling flask. Please contact us for a completely tuned system with this hardware! Requirement to use these heads would be a sogevac + dual e2m30 -OR- sogevac + e80 -OR- sogevac + e80 + diffusion array.
