The Hochstrom High Flow Filter is the fastest unit on the market. It’s unique design allows it to operate under half vacuum pressure for full flow. Our peers & customers have reported the high flow surface area to be equivalent to a 18-24″ table-top unit. These units have a huge basin, but small holes, really preventing it from being efficient for it’s size. A table top or small buchner filtration unit will have flow issues due to the solution warming up and redissolving past the filtration medium. Chromatography Column 4x48 (inches) with coarse/fine mixed frit. Heavy wall thickness of 3mm. Comes with Rodaviss connection and 45/50 Chroma Cap (GL14 feed/vacuum port). The drain has a PTFE stopcock to GL18. All GLs are included. Chroma Cap has elongated recessed port with diffuser. This directs fluid spray against walls to gently fill the column and protect media from movement. All of our chromatography columns now have option to add an Ultra Sensitive Fraction Finder! To comply with warranty, Summit requires this chromatography column to be supported by 2 chain clamps and a top mounted cork clamp. Summit recommends applying a thin rubber strip (the length of the chains contact) under the chain clamps (not shown) to maximize grip.
