The Short Path Distillation Head Bertha 100, since development in 2018, has become one of the leading standards in distillation head types in the industry. 2023 has brought the Bertha 100 to its final perfect form with 6 generations of evolution. This head comes equipped with 45/50 thermoport, 34/45 discharge port and a 100mm bore that secures to a boiling flask with o-ring and clamp. The Short Path Distillation Head Bertha 100 (previously SPD-4 MPD Big Bertha) is an extremely high vapor fractionation column head. The first section starts in the flask to retain as much heat in the column as possible. This entire column and entry into flask is isolated from the outside air and the flange fittings. The first chamber is a rough fractionation chamber with a lower rejection section that prevents any condensate from moving upwards. The center section is a secondary refinement section and will further refine the vapors. The upper third section is our patented fraction collector. The first dual stage fractionation column to ever be invented or used in distillation glassware, pilot or small scale. Can achieve 2-4 liters per hour (6 liters per hour with upgraded chilling and vacuum accessories) first pass and ready for crystallization. The Short Path Distillation Head HB1 150, or previously MPD (modified path distillation), was created for one of our testers Breaking Dabs aka Heisenberg. With his unique skills he has helped us tune the HB series heads to evolve and provide solutions for our users. HB1 is designed to be ultra selective to evacuate all previous fractions before the main body without letting the main body through. With some temp, main body can come out extremely fast and this head can be used as a first pass head. It is very effective in removing heads fractions while retaining main body components. Vigs are not needed for this technology due to the industry first "no-vig" approach which utilizes a baffled section that extends down below the head base and into the boiling flask. LN2 stainless steel inverted cup accelerator cold trap. Drier vacuum, lower vacuum and tighter fractions. Extremely compact with higher potency and an over all faster process. We cut the cold trap to show internals in slides 2 & 3. Born from the patented Summit inverse cup cold trap technology and delivered for liquid nitrogen usage. The Ultra Short Path Distillation Head (previously SPD-7) is a fascinating technology inspired by an ultra low temperature process. The Summit research SPD-7 is a horizontal head designed to fully refine products at a low temperature; preferred material required should be refined previously, or physically refined through all filtration and washing/chroma processes prior to running through this system. Material must be completely dried and full vacuum cannot be engaged if material is wet. Do not attempt to load green/black crude material. This system requires much more vacuum requirement so please keep in mind the 22 liter system takes a diffusion, and the 5 liter system can use dual e2m28/30. With a high flow triple condenser coil to GL18 adapters, the temps are dialed in throughout this horizontal head. Big bore 55/50 inlet and outlet with a traditional 29/42 discharge to flask.
