  • The Short Path Distillation Head FC55 Nano (Previously SPD-6 FC55 Nano) model includes 55/50 main bore with a 34/45 discharge and 34/45 thermoport. This Nano version has no vigreux bringing rejection to a minimum. But that can all change with the right head key. (This key is specially made for the Nano to maximize rejection) and is NOW included along with: When Summit Research initially released the first fraction collector technology we knew it would be a hit. We have innovated the newest distillation technology with the industry leading high-efficiency heads. We have retrofitted all Summit Research heads to incorporate our patented distillation technology. These heads rival wiped film speeds at a fraction of the cost, and higher clarity/purity/speed. The fraction collector head offers extremely high-efficiency operational parameters unparalleled to anything available on the market. Summit delivers solutions and results to our customers coming from extensive research and design in the field of high speed, high potency, low temperature, consistent distillations day after day. The differences between the FC series heads are the heights. Lower height heads will have less selectivity with faster speeds and lower temps, taller heads will have slightly slower speeds with slightly higher temps with more selectivity. Partnered with our patented laminar path technology and the inverted cup cold trap/hardpipe kits, our customers experience smooth, fast and consistent clarity time after time. We innovate where others imitate. 100% made in USA with Schott glass. There are two recommended options with varying pumps, diffusion and total liters: As always, Summit uses 100% best quality glass blanks that are THICKER and built BEYOND STANDARDS made right here in the USA. Our glassware is made specifically for efficiency and durability. Summit provides the quality of lab equipment that you deserve to streamline your short path distillation process.       Summit recommends all users of any and all glassware to operate inside a ventilated fume hood with sufficient blast shields to prevent injury in case of fatigued glass failure. Summit is not responsible or liable for the result of any failures from use, and/or loss of subsequent hardware contamination/failure with or without the result of material loss or damaged caused to surroundings. • The Short Path Distillation Head Bertha 150, since development in 2018, has become one of the leading standards in distillation head types in the industry. 2023 has brought the Bertha 100 to its final perfect form with 6 generations of evolution. This head comes equipped with 45/50 thermoport, 34/45 discharge port and a 100mm bore that secures to a boiling flask with o-ring and clamp. The Short Path Distillation Head Bertha 150 (previously SPD-4 MPD Big Bertha) is an extremely high vapor fractionation column head. The first section starts in the flask to retain as much heat in the column as possible. This entire column and entry into flask is isolated from the outside air and the flange fittings. The first chamber is a rough fractionation chamber with a lower rejection section that prevents any condensate from moving upwards. The center section is a secondary refinement section and will further refine the vapors. The upper third section is our patented fraction collector. The first dual stage fractionation column to ever be invented or used in distillation glassware, pilot or small scale. Can achieve 4-6 liters per hour (8 liters per hour with upgraded chilling and vacuum accessories) first pass and ready for crystallization. Vigs are not needed for this technology due to the industry first "no-vig" approach which utilizes a baffled section that extends down below the head base and into the boiling flask. Requirement to use these heads would be a sogevac + dual e2m30 -or- sogevac + e80 -or-  sogevac + e80 + diffusion array. This particular setup benefits from a custom diffusion array and an Apollo Vacuum Controller with the inert gas sweeping feature. Effectively increasing the stock speed and lowering the temperatures further. Included: Our MPD heads fit exclusively to Summit MPD boiling flasks: As always, Summit uses 100% best quality glass blanks that are THICKER and built BEYOND STANDARDS made right here in the USA. • The Sensor Ultra Sensitive features the brand new, ultra-sensitive sensor. This package is unique in that - not only does it serve distillation and extraction processes - but also serves Chromatography, Conversion Reaction, and other processes that require more extreme detection. For certain processes, highly sensitive process monitoring is essential. Generally speaking, the more solvent involved in the process means the more sensitive the sensor needs to be. With that in mind, the ULTRA was created. If you are an existing customer, you have the option to upgrade to a standalone ULTRA Sensor for $1,350. Please call us for more details. Use this sensor on any chromatography column with the GL18 to #34 adapter. The Fraction Finder Sensor 34/45 consists of an optical light pulse and detector, acting as “the eyes” of the system. It wraps around a distillation/chromatography setup tube and connects to the Fraction Finder display to track important data on the process.
    • Fraction Finder optical sensor with ultra-sensitive detector
    • Magnetic locking mechanism
    • Anodized aluminum apertures
    • 90° strap rotation
    • Currently only available in size 34mm
    • Validated by Arometrix for use on distillation systems
    • Currently being tested on reverse-phase chromatography processes
    • Display and sight glass not included

Information common with all Fraction Finder sensors

These sensors are black for a reason:
    • Black absorbs all light while blocking out ambient light.
    • This leads to better signaling and the most valid data possible transmitting to the Fraction Finder display.
    • For example, a white sensor wouldn’t work because it would reflect the light into your glassware and into the sensor, harming the reading.
    Chemical Resistant
    • This reduces any degradation from solvents, crude oils, extracts, etc..
    • This protects the sensor and ensures that it lives to see an endless amount of runs.
    Thermo Resistant / Safety
    • The black coating we use on each sensor is a high temperature, thermal resistant coating, it can withstand temperatures well above anything you’d see in a distillation lab.
    • It’s nearly impossible to set one of our sensors on fire, the coating is almost completely fireproof!
    • This protects the user, the equipment, and (in worst case scenarios) the entire lab.
Sensor only, monitor and accessories not included.
