Chromatography Column 4x48 (inches) with coarse/fine mixed frit. Heavy wall thickness of 3mm. Comes with Rodaviss connection and 45/50 Chroma Cap (GL14 feed/vacuum port). The drain has a PTFE stopcock to GL18. All GLs are included. Chroma Cap has elongated recessed port with diffuser. This directs fluid spray against walls to gently fill the column and protect media from movement. All of our chromatography columns now have option to add an Ultra Sensitive Fraction Finder! To comply with warranty, Summit requires this chromatography column to be supported by 2 chain clamps and a top mounted cork clamp. Chromatography Column 3x24 (inches) with coarse/fine mixed frit. Heavy wall thickness of 3mm. Comes with Rodaviss connection and 45/50 Chroma Cap (GL14 feed/vacuum port). The drain has a PTFE stopcock to GL18. All GLs are included. Chroma Cap has elongated recessed port with diffuser. This directs fluid spray against walls to gently fill the column and protect media from movement. All of our chromatography columns now have option to add an Ultra Sensitive Fraction Finder! To comply with warranty, Summit requires this chromatography column to be supported by a chain clamp and a top mounted cork clamp. Summit recommends applying a thin rubber strip (the length of the chains contact) under the chain clamp (not shown) to maximize grip. The Separatory Funnel 6 Liter comes with a Sep Funnel Cap 45 that has improved recessed port for increased velocity when self mixing. The application, with vacuum, will launch the washing solution into the loaded solution and properly mix them without ever having to remove the funnel from the stand. The PTFE flow control valve (stopcock) is equipped with GL18 for adequate flow and accurate shutoff. Threaded 45/50 port out the top for Rodaviss. This is an additional package to the original Hochstrom high flow filtration unit. It comes with one plate, one ring and one tall tube cut for dual plate arrangement (The cut is double sized to allow two plates). Adding another plate will refine your product even more and save you that extra run, thus cutting your time in half. The original Hochstrom Filter ™ comes with single plate arrangement. Hochstrom threaded base, nipple and viton O-rings not included. The Hochstrom High Flow Filter is the fastest unit on the market. It’s unique design allows it to operate under half vacuum pressure for full flow. Our peers & customers have reported the high flow surface area to be equivalent to a 18-24″ table-top unit. These units have a huge basin, but small holes, really preventing it from being efficient for it’s size. A table top or small buchner filtration unit will have flow issues due to the solution warming up & redissolving past the filtration medium. Reflux condensers are used in “conversion” processes to cool the vapor molecules emitted from heated oils to change their gaseous state back into liquid by means of a chilled triple coil. This unit is recommended for 22L and larger boiling flasks. How it works: The condenser is attached to the boiling flask joint and is secured in a vertical position. Chiller fluid is circulated through the coil to cause the vapors to condense as they rise up through the condenser coils thus preventing them from escaping. This gives you the option to reflux different fluids in your boiling flask for extended periods of time before you run the SPD, this is a must have in the lab for conversions.
