This is an additional package to the original Hochstrom high flow filtration unit. It comes with one plate, one ring and one tall tube cut for dual plate arrangement (The cut is double sized to allow two plates). Adding another plate will refine your product even more and save you that extra run, thus cutting your time in half. The original Hochstrom Filter ™ comes with single plate arrangement. Hochstrom threaded base, nipple and viton O-rings not included. The Hochstrom High Flow Filter is the fastest unit on the market. It’s unique design allows it to operate under half vacuum pressure for full flow. Our peers & customers have reported the high flow surface area to be equivalent to a 18-24″ table-top unit. These units have a huge basin, but small holes, really preventing it from being efficient for it’s size. A table top or small buchner filtration unit will have flow issues due to the solution warming up & redissolving past the filtration medium. Chromatography Column 6x48 (inches) with coarse/fine mixed frit and heavy wall thickness of 3mm. Comes with Rodaviss connection and 45/50 Chroma Cap (GL14 feed/vacuum port). The drain has a PTFE stopcock to GL18. All GLs are included. Chroma Cap has elongated recessed port with diffuser. This directs fluid spray against walls to gently fill the column and protect media from movement. All of our chromatography columns now have option to add an Ultra Sensitive Fraction Finder! Please use this column at your own risk! In addition to lab stands, it is recommended that you secure the lab stands to a wall or sturdy foundation while also using sandbags. This column will surpass 100+ lbs of weight holding full fluid. Please make sure you are offsetting the weight of your fluids. Summit requires this chromatography column to be supported by 3 chain clamps and a top mounted cork clamp. Summit recommends applying a thin rubber strip (the length of the chains contact) under the chain clamps (not included) to maximize grip. This column may slip though clamps if not properly bottom supported.
