With this option, simply lower the valve and unscrew the GL cap to release the vacuum to change your flask.   • Reflux condensers are used in “conversion” processes to cool the vapor molecules emitted from heated oils to change their gaseous state back into liquid by means of a chilled triple coil. This unit is recommended for 22L and larger boiling flasks. How it works: The condenser is attached to the boiling flask joint and is secured in a vertical position. Chiller fluid is circulated through the coil to cause the vapors to condense as they rise up through the condenser coils thus preventing them from escaping. This gives you the option to reflux different fluids in your boiling flask for extended periods of time before you run the SPD, this is a must have in the lab for conversions.
