UL CSA ETL – GENESIS MANTLE PEER REVIEW. Onsite sign off for your lab!
As more laboratories and facilities are purchasing heating mantles in a professional setting, the requirements have become more stringent and stricter. In some cases a general UL CSA ETl, or any sort of NRTL sticker will not suffice, as the current market mantles do not exceed standards and only meet the bare minimum. These bare minimums are only signed off for a suitable circuit in many cases to operate in a minimum requirement for a recognized agency for operational validation. This does not include extra grounded circuits, washdown ability, refurbishing ability, liquid tight connections, mil spec connections or higher grade electronic components to be required or used. Import manufactures can only do an onsite test validation to self sign off that the unit was functional but does not address the actual components included for their durability. These cases are further affected by numerous supply changes that prevent stronger body certifications. At summit research, we have only used micro circuit/component utilization on specific parts like custom PID boards, USB control, some motor control and vacuum control. We have avoiding using micro control, power supply and power inversion components leaving our supply chain in a stronger position utilizing iso/din standards.
Summit is now offering the highest standard available for any mantle on the market. Our mantles come with an optional upgrade to add a serialized plate/documentation that stays with each mantle. The serialized plate comes with a independent engineering packet and peer review. This packet is structured to provide information from a highly reputable industry peer review firm that allows for onsite sign off. No longer will the UL, CSA, ETL and any NRTL agency sticker hold up your sign off process and site approval by fire marshal if needed. The reason being is the recognized agencies do not address complete build specification in a report. In fact, other than a certificate, (with wildly different recognized agency stamps) there is no component peer review available to the buyers that ensures adequate peer review demonstration for in depth on site sign off. Some locations require an engineering packet to determine if it’s even the power supplies or connections at terminal sides that can be allowed onsite. Frequently, they do not adhere to these exceedingly strict requirements.
Fear no more, summit research applies all these known issues to a conceptual build design that translates to a high quality product that includes all these exceedingly strict modern requirements for your Genesis Heating Mantle purchase.
Summit only supplies amphenol milspec connections that can be used in only the highest grade applications for our power terminal connections. Our semi-liquid tight communication connections (can not bare submersion but the connections have a decent ability to repel fluids and or spills) are supplied to ensure all RTD and motor controls are safe from minor spills to prevent circuit problems. The cost of the connections on both terminal sides for power and communication on the Genesis controllers collectively cost more than any competitors mantles controllers cost in its entirely(including their connectors). We want to be clear on this point so our customers understand just the connections we use exceed the circuit board, power supply, case, and complete costs of their controllers. This goes for import and suggestive domestic models.
Due to our ability to design, build and supply this exceedingly modern and up to date architecture, this allows summit to be able to offer an independent engineering peer review on our heating mantles. our engineering packet demonstrates ownership and confidence in a top of the line product that is not available anywhere but Summit Research.
